I’m back from my mini newsletter/social Spring Break!

And…my house has never felt so clean. My husband loves Kyshawn Lane and his home cleaning checklists, so we spent a weekend tackling it together.

Here’s a screenshot of our shared to-do list😅 (still sweating just looking at it).

I haven’t finished every last thing on the list, but wow…it felt SO good to do a real deep clean.

It’s one of those things where you feel the difference in your space, even if you can’t exactly see it.

And I did the same thing in my business.

Except the cleanup there was a little more energetic.

Lately, I’ve been feeling some tension inside my membership: Rooted Resources. Since launching it a few years ago, the world of templates and marketing resources has exploded, thanks to AI. It’s everywhere.

And I could feel something was off, but couldn’t quite name it… until I got this honest feedback:

“I love all of the resources, but I do have to admit that the sheer volume is very overwhelming, which often leads me to not take any action at all.”

Oof. That one hit me right in the gut. Because that is not what I was going for.

But it was precisely what I needed to hear. It helped me realize that in trying to give everything, I accidentally made it harder to focus on what actually moves the needle.

More ≠ better.

So I spent part of my “Spring Break” reworking Rooted Resources to focus on what I really want to help practitioners do: tell better stories and bring more of themselves into their marketing.

Because in a sea of AI-generated content and pretty Canva templates, what actually stands out is… you.

🦄Your voice.

🦄Your lived experience.

🦄The stories only you can tell.

So many of you, RR members and non-members alike, have shared that you’re just tired of trying to keep up with social media. You want more depth. More quality. More authenticity.

And I hear you.

That’s what I’m building toward: helping you share stories that feel like YOU, no matter what platform you’re on, instead of just feeling like you’re feeding the content machine.

The biggest change I made for April: I turned the email and Canva templates into fewer, more impactful storytelling prompts.

You’ll still get hooks, examples, and repurposing inspo (and the past 12 months of Canva and Newsletter templates are still available in the portal), but moving forward, the intention is different.

These prompts are designed to get you thinking…and then expressing your answer in your own unique, un-copyable voice.

(Sometimes momentum is the real magic. It takes the pressure off and gives you space to come up with even deeper, more aligned ideas. )

I also made a move that no business coach would probably advise… and added personalized Loom Feedback for members. 😅

Because my Human Design type (MG) thrives when I get to respond and be with what’s present. And this just feels way more aligned.

Another shift: I’m reimagining how I deliver “bonus resources.”

Before, these were very traditional marketing things – like content calendars, IG Story sales tips, market research templates, etc. (which are all still available in what I’m now calling The Vault).

But now… I’m building in space to play.🌈

This part feels a little scary, tbh. It’s harder to market. It’s ambiguous. And it asks for a level of trust from you that what I create will land.

But it lights me up.

It feels fun.

And I think it can help you tap into more “soul(wo)manship” in your storytelling.

Some fun ideas I’m working on for future months:

  • A Yoga Nidra session to tap into your creative energy
  • Homework to help you turn your “boring” life into a bottomless well of stories (spoiler: you’re not boring, you’re probably just distracted)
  • Human Design-inspired ChatGPT prompts to help you build offers no one else is doing

To be really honest with you, pivoting doesn’t always come easy to me.

When I say I’m doing something, I like to stick with it. So even when I know a change is aligned, I still need time to sit with the emotions of it.

That’s why I’m grateful for this mini Spring Break. I cleaned, traveled, supported my current clients, and gave myself space to process.

If you’re in a season where clarity feels just out of reach, I’ve got a tip! Deodorize your mattress and book a weekend away/staycation. Works every time. 😜
